Today in Switzerland: As said in the earlier post, we woke up quite late and eventually got some breakfast/lunch and wandered around the village with Desty (pic). This sleep was fantastic, its weird how you realize you didn't sleep well in the Hostels, even though you don't wake up during the night too much. We got a snack and some stamps and made our way back to the farm beside Stephen's aunt's house where I, as always, tried to make friends with the cows and got shot down as usual. In her defense, they were much further away, and mauling some grass. We also tried a few of the cherries from the several cherry trees that hang over the path (pic). which I'm not sure if you can do, but oh well. By this time it was about 6:00 so we ventured back to the house for dinner. Dinner was delicious as always, we had:lamb, wild rice, and veggies. Dessert was chocolate-rum cake, carrot cake, and Stephen's aunt's homemade strawberry cream, YUM! Thats another thing you realize, how much food you can actually eat, after having to share and save money when elsewhere. After dinner we drank coffee or Bambu (a healthy alternative that tastes like vanilla coffee) and they told stories of Stephen and his family when they were younger including a story about how Stephen always sang, "whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do...whatcha gonna do when they come for you.." from cops, Hilar! (reminded me of Bad Boys II) We also looked at Andreas's pictures from a few of his trips. If only at that age, we could have gone on weekend trips hiking through the Alps, what a way to go through high school (even though Molly Powell's field was awfully fun) On tomorrow's agenda: they're sending us grocery shopping (to a cheese shop) with Stephen's German and a dictionary to pick out cheese for dinner haha-should be interesting.
Oh, and we've obviously been watching pigeons way too much on this trip because this video is Stephen attempting to recreate their call/dance that we occasionally saw them doing, please, ENJOYYY (Dane). As I am now here to add my comments, and see this, I do not approve.
